Arlene L. Dimmick-Weeks
Waterloo– Arlene Weeks, 89, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning (January 7, 2017) at her home, with her loving and supporting family beside her. Friends and family are invited to call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday (January 10, 2017) at Mull Funeral Home, 113 Virginia Street, Waterloo. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday (January 11, 2017) at the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring in Maple Grove Cemetery. Arlene's family request memorial contributions be directed to the James P. Wilmot Cancer Institute, 601 Elmwood Ave, Box 704, Rochester, NY 14642. Arlene was born on October 21, 1927 in Varick, the daughter of the late Ernest and Edith I. Harde-Dimmick. She worked for about 10 years at Zotos International in Geneva and then she became a stay-at-home mom. For years she babysat many, many children. Arlene was a wonderful, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and babysitter. She is survived by her daughters Luella (Robert) Grabbatin and Lilla (Will Lauwaert) Weeks, all of Seneca Falls; her sons Laverne (Diana) Weeks of Hector, and Lyle (Pat) Weeks of Alamogordo, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; her twin sister, Charlene (Willis) Bienvenue; and her brother, Clair (Teresa) Dimmick.
