Arleen A. Pechman
Pechman, Arleen A. Arleen A. (Diedrich) Pechman, age 90, peacefully met her Savior Jesus on February 13, 2017, Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh, with family by her side. Arleen was currently living at Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh. Born in Park Falls, WI, on April 8, 1926, Arleen was the daughter of Herman and Amanda (Zastrow) Diedrich. She was married to Robert (Bob) E. Pechman on September 29, 1947. Arleen is now with Bob who went to heaven in July 2010. She attended Oshkosh public schools and was employed at Miles Kimball Company `until her retirement. She was a life-long member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Oshkosh and served on their Ladies' Aide. Arleen and Bob enjoyed traveling all over the United States, and attending all of their grandchildren's school and church events. Arleen was an avid needle-crafter and reader. Arleen kept a record of the books she read but she stopped counting when she reached over 2,000 books. To keep the love of reading alive, she volunteered at Martin Luther Lutheran School listening to young children read out loud. Arleen was also preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters, Mildred (William) Moore and Evelyn (Melvin) Wolff, sister-in-law Joyce Schreiber, and grandson Jason Pechman. Surviving family members include Christine Farvour of Oshkosh, David (Linda) Pechman of Fond du Lac, and Robin (Tom) Doemel of Waupaca, grandchildren Sarah (Jon) Hammond, Brian (Angie) Pechman, Rachel Covill, Amy Pechman, Troy (Kim) Pechman, Andy Doemel and Natalie (Kenny) Myszka, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. She had a great love for her Lord and her family. By God's grace, she was a child of God. "I (Jesus) am the resurrection and the life. . . . whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die." John 11:25, 26. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1206 Ontario St, Oshkosh, WI. Visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Paul Lidtke officiating. Funeral arrangements by Seefeld Funeral Home, Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
