Araceli F. Rogers
Araceli F. Rogers San Diego, TX Araceli F. Rogers 78, was granted her angel wings on October 15, 2016, after a long illness. Araceli was always surrounded by her loving family and compassionate caregivers. Araceli was born on September 20, 1938, in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico to Eradio Fernandez and Maria de La Luz Castro Fernandez. She lived in Mexico until she married the love of her life on November 1, 1961, in Mexico City and moved to San Diego, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Araceli was elected and served on the School Board for the San Diego Ind. School District from 1983-1989. She took pride in always giving back to the students of San Diego. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of the St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church. She loved being a grandmother and will always be remembered for her kindness and positive loving spirit. She is preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Henry Rogers and infant granddaughter Celine Delorian Rogers. Araceli is survived by her husband of 55 years Pat A. Rogers, Sr., one son Pat A. (Betty L. Garcia) Rogers Jr. all of San Diego, one daughter Lizzie Ann (Fidencio Perez) Rogers and grandson Kason Daniel Perez all of New Braunfels, one sister Maria Eugenia (John) Davies of Boise Idaho, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Our compassionate caregivers, Gracie Lichtenberger, Rosie Castillo, Nelda Solis, Rosemary Villarreal and Melinda Garcia. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home-San Diego with rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., that evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday,October 19, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Frances De Paula Catholic Church and burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery. Mauro P.
