October 4, 2016 Antti Lintunen, husband, father, grandfather and great-grand-father, peacefully passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by family, at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Roseville. Antti leaves behind his wife, Eila, daughter, Eija (James), his grandchildren, Kenneth and Cynthia, and his great-granddaughter, Hanna, who stole his heat with her first smile. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Antti was born in Lavia, Finland, on January 3, 1934, and married the love of his life, the beautiful Eila (Tuovinen) Lintunen in 1957. Their only child, Eija, was born in 1959, and the family immigrated to the USA on February 22, 1964, where Antti worked in carpentry as a "Door Man," also referred to as a Finish Carpenter. He was actually a Finnish Finish Carpenter and he loved woodworking, making beautiful custom furniture for his family. Per Antti's request, there will be no funeral. As a remembrance, we request that you please "pay it forward," love your family with all of your heart, and cherish your friends, letting each of them know how special they are to you. "There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love."
