Our beloved father, Anthony Lee Jackson, 66, of Florence, Colorado passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016. Anthony was born to Dewey and Ida Jackson on June 5, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan. After high school, he served our country in the United States Army, where he was a combat Vietnam veteran. He was highly decorated, including the Purple Heart and was honorably discharged. He later spent many years working in law enforcement. In the 1980's, Anthony had his own Cody Stillwater Wild West Show, where he performed his skills of sharp shooting, roping and tomahawk throwing. His love of Harley Davidson motorcycles began in his late teenage years, when he purchased his first Harley, a passion that continued through his lifetime. Country music was another passion of Anthony's. He would play his guitar and sing for all to enjoy. Welding was another passion of his along with his gun collection, but most of all he cherished time spent with family. He is survived by his ex-wife and dear friend, Donna (Jackson) Mager; devoted partner of 11 years, Shirley Forberg; children, Christine (Randy) Carnahan, Anthony Jr. (Shana) Jackson, Amanda Jackson, Adam (Sherri) Jackson. Also survived by parents, Ida and Dewey; brother, Tom (Claire) Jackson; sisters, Betty Turk and Tammy Jackson. He will also be missed by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tim and son, Travis.
