Anthony A. Bianchi
Anthony A. Bianchi 1926—2016 Tony Bianchi, 90, Rockford, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Rosewood Care Center after a brief illness. Born March 22, 1926, in Rockford, IL, the son of Angelo and Victoria (Di Marco) Bianchi. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He was last employed with OSF St. Anthony Medical Center for over 10 years as a housekeeping supervisor. He was an avid trap shooter and hunter. He loved being on the trap shooting leagues held at the Plug & Pellet Sportsman's Club. He especially enjoyed going there on Sunday mornings for breakfast and shooting the breeze with the club members. Survivors include the love of his life and partner for over 40 years, Sharon Martin; grandchildren, numerous nieces and favorite nephew, Michal Pumilia. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Vicky Peppers; sisters, Cecilia Crain, Lena Pumilia, and Theresa Hanvy; grandson, Michael Peppers. Special thanks to the staff at Rosewood Care Center and Highview in the Woodlands for their loving care and support. Great deal of gratitude goes out to Linda & Jeff Kenagy and Leo & Donna Martin for all of their years to help and care. There will be a visitation from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Thursday October 20, 2016 in Gasparini & Oliveri Funeral Home. Graveside service to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
