Anthony P. Agentowicz
Anthony P. "Butch" Agentowicz, 78, of Clarks Summit, died peacefully on Friday surrounded by his family at Gino J. Merli Veterans Center. His wife of 57 years is Evelyn Prusinski Agentowicz. Born in Scranton, son of the late Anthony and Stephanie Farro Agentowicz, he was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Church. Butch served in the Marine Corps Reserve and later as a paratrooper in the Army. Before retirement, he worked as a truck driver for New Penn Motor Express. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and visiting the casinos. Also surviving are two sons, Anthony and fiancée, Jean Maguire, Reading; and Edward and wife, Sandra, Scott Twp.; three daughters, Denise Agentowicz and Kevin Morin, Sturbridge, Mass.; Diane Donvito and husband, Joseph, Throop; and Donna Ferko and husband, Les, Scott Twp.; 10 grandchildren, Alek, Will, Nate, Carlie, Zakk and Kayla Agentowicz, Shane Conaboy, and Taylor, Eric and Taralyn Ferko; two sisters, Joan Norton, Clarks Summit; and Antoinette Lewis, Dalton; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Gino J. Merli Veterans Center for the outstanding care and compassion given to Butch in his final days. The funeral will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Thomas J. Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1240 St. Ann's St., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in SS. Peter & Paul Church. Interment, parish cemetery, Taylor. Friends may call Monday, 5 to 8 p.m.
