PINK HILL | Annie Louise Jarman Jones - "Mrs. Peggy" - 93, of "Jonestown," died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at Vidant Duplin Hospital. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She loved her Lord and was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church where she served as church treasurer for 25 years, past WMU director, Sunday School teacher, and choir member and was currently attending Smith's New Home OFWB Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Woodrow W. Jones; her parents, Jerry Elbert and Nettie Becton Jarman; her sisters, Carrie Jackson and Pearl Holloman and her sisters-in-law: Susie B. Jones Edwards, Precious Jones Taylor, and Annie Laura Jones Smith. She is survived by her daughters: Denise Jones Stroud and husband, Richard, and Debbie Jones, all of Pink Hill; two grandsons: Richard Thurman Stroud and wife, Melanie, and Wilson Corbitt Stroud, all of Pink Hill; sisters: Hazel Smith of Fayetteville and Sally Mewborn and husband, Ray, of Farmville; brother, Jerry Jarman and wife, Polly, of Richlands; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 6 pm Tuesday, Oct 18, 2016, at Pink Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmie Williams and the Rev. Michael Bryan officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Family will receive friends other times at her home. Interment will be at 10 am Wednesday morning, Oct. 19, 2016, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
