Anna C. Radford
Anna C. Radford, age 82, died at home on Friday, October 14, 2016, following a brief struggle with C.O.P.D. and congestive heart failure. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 15, 1934, to Claude and Shellie Counce. She married C.L. (Bill) Radford on Feb.8, 1950. They moved to Niceville area in 1967. She was very proud to have worked in the lunchroom at Oak Hill elementary. Then she and Bill started their own business, Bill's Auto Repair, where she worked for many years. She also volunteered at the Pavilion in Niceville (an assisted living facility), doing hair for many of the residents. She was a life member of the National Rifle Association, she enjoyed Nascar races, shopping and eating out. She loved spending time with her grandkids, great grandkids and great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; Claude and Shellie Counce, husband Bill Radford, and her sister Sue Meeks. She leaves behind her sons James E. Radford (wife Kim) of Niceville, Ronnie Radford (wife Harriett) of Pond Creek Community and a daughter, Regina Gayle Matlock of Mossy Head, One sister, Joyce Mears of Niceville, 9 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The viewing will take place at McLaughlin's Funeral Home in Niceville from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, October 17, 2016. Grave side services will be Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Heritage Gardens in Niceville.
