ANN SPENCER
May 4, 1917 - Oct. 12, 2016 OKLAHOMA CITY The Lord received Ann Spencer into heaven on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 12, 2016. Ann was born in Rocky Comfort, MO to Chris and Genetta Ann (Maples) Roller. She was the youngest of seven girls. As a young 7-year-old girl, her family moved to Kansas City, KS. She graduated from Turner High School and Hill's Business College. In 1942, she moved to Oklahoma City, where she met and married Warren Spencer in 1943. They lived in Oklahoma City during their marriage of nearly 50 years, where they raised two daughters. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She loved children and found great joy in teaching Sunday School for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Warren; her parents; and six sisters. She is survived by her two daughters, Janel (John) Roberts and Marilyn (Randy) Marx; her two grandsons, Timothy Roberts and Jeremy Roberts; one great-granddaughter, Autumn Roberts; and two nieces and one nephew. Special thanks to Trisha and Sylvia, who gave of their hearts with such love and compassion in caring for Mom. Viewing will be Sunday, 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. with family present 2-4 p.m. at Mercer-Adams. Services will be on Monday, Oct. 17, 1 p.m. at Mercer-Adams' Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Portland Avenue Baptist Church Children's Ministries.
