Ann Austin, 84, of Harrisburg and formerly of Wellsboro, died at her home surrounded by her family, on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016. She was the wife of Elwood Austin, who survives. Ann was born May 1, 1932, in Williamsport, the daughter of the late George and Velma (Neal) Hotchkiss. Ann was a member of First Baptist Church of Wellsboro. She was a homemaker who truly enjoyed her family. She loved animals, especially dogs. Ann enjoyed watching the birds and she also liked listening to classical music. Ann was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, Girl Scouts and The Seekers, an antique collecting group. Surviving in addition to her husband, are six daughters, Patricia Ann Steele (Robert) of Millerstown, Brenda A. Mancinelli (William) of Shamong, N.J., Sandra A. Matier, Susan A. Dengler, Karen A. Keller (James), Sharon A. Rozema (John), all of Harrisburg; 19 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to Ann's Life Celebration on Friday, Oct. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Ltd. Visitation prior to funeral service on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to noon, at the funeral home. Service will follow with the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey McCleary officiating.
