In memory of
Hardy, Anita Hardy, Anita Farish, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, died in her sleep on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2017 at a local nursing home. Funeral services will be on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 11:00AM at the Church of the Holy Comforter. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter, Olivia H. Rowell (Larry); her nieces, Pat Dennis (Buddy) and Ellen Craver; and nephew, Marshall Craver (Jan). Mrs. Hardy was employed by the State of Alabama, first at the Department of Public Safety and later at the Department of Revenue, as a computer operator. Until her struggle with Alzheimer's began, she was a faithful member of the Church of the Holy Comforter and the Daughters of the King and an avid University of Alabama fan. The family wishes to thank the kind caregivers at Elmcroft Assisted Living and John Knox Manor who took such loving care of her in her last years. If anyone wishes to honor Nita's memory, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donation be made to the Church of the Holy Comforter, the Alzheimer's Association, or one's favorite charity.
