Alta Mann Dunlap
Alta Mann Dunlap, 66, Bradenton, passed away on Friday January 5th, 2017 at Manatee Memorial Hospital. She was born January 6th, 1950, in Tallassee, Alabama; she was the daughter of the late Delaney and Gladys Mann. Alta graduated from St. Margaret's School of Nursing in Montgomery, Alabama in l972. She worked as Head Nurse in the Emergency Room at Tampa General Hospital, saving many lives over many years. On January 24th, 1976 she married Gary L. Dunlap MD. She was a humble and endlessly giving wife and mother, she was also a painter, violinist, piano player, clarinet player, decorator, and crafts creator in her spare time. Alta provided a wealth of service to her church, touching so many lives. Never seeking the spotlight, she glowed brightly in the hearts of all that knew her. The Lord Jesus called her Home to be with Him. "Well done my good and faithful servant." She is survived by husband Gary, son Travis, and daughter Tondra. She is also survived by brothers Alvin and Adrian. A memorial service will be held at her church, Sun City Christian Center 17566 Hwy 301, Wimauma, FL at 6:00 PM Tuesday, January 10th. All are welcome to pay respects to this amazing woman. "Life is service; service is love"
