Alma "Cookie" Cope, 67, of Bean Station, passed away suddenly at UT Medical Center, Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016. She was saved at a young age and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Mooresburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lacy and Ollie Phillips; brother, Dan Phillips; and nephew, Chris Collins. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Jimmy Cope; son, Dewayne Cope; daughter, Cindy (Rick) Mitchell; special granddaughter, Chelsey Morgan; and her one and only great-grandson, Ty Morgan whom she loved dearly, as she did her whole family; sisters, Wilma (Alvin) Collins and Pat (Fred) Campbell; sister-in-law, Helen Phillips; and a host of nieces, nephews, and family. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, October 16 in the Dalton Cemetery in Bean Station for a 2 p.m. graveside service. Arrangements by Alder Funeral Home.
