In memory of
BRAGA Allen Our dear brother, Allen passed away peacefully with his family at his side on February 9, 2017 after a two-year brave battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Allen was the son of the late George and Aurora Braga, born on September 13, 1941, in Sebastopol, CA. He lived on the ranch in Valley Ford his entire life. Allen was a devoted brother, uncle and friend. He was our "Go to Guy" for any help or advice we needed. Always thinking of the welfare of others. He was a kind, generous "salt of the earth" man. He worked in construction along with running the family ranch. Allen worked for several construction companies, including Santa Fe Pomroy, Sonoma Rock Company owned by C.R. Fedrick, of which he was employee of the year in 2001. He also worked for the Sundt Co. where his name is inscribed on a pillar in front of the headquarters in Tempe, Arizona to honor his service. His greatest passion was working with his cattle on the ranch and operating his backhoe. Allen was a member of the National Guard, Native Sons of the Golden West, Sonoma County Farm Bureau, and the Valley Ford Fire Dept. He leaves behind his brother, Art Braga (Cheryl) and sisters Joyce McKeay (Roger) and Susan Braga. Nieces and nephews, Nancy Price (Kerry) Liz Green (Rick) Marty and Michael Braga and Mindy Jones (Jaime) and ten great-nieces and nephews. Allen will now join the love of his life, Margie who preceded him in death in 1996. We thank our family friend, Dick for his daily phone calls and friendship. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Valley Ford Fire Dept., P. O. Box 327, Valley Ford, CA 94972.
