Alice Belle Hansbrough, age 77, of Littlestown, PA and formerly of Union Bridge, died Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare, Gettysburg, PA, after an extended illness. Born October 27, 1939 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Edward Augustus and Mary Lee Wetzel Lambert. She was the wife of Homer Lloyd Hansbrough Sr., who predeceased her in 2005. Mrs. Hansbrough was formerly employed for 30 years with the Union Bridge Clothing Company. She was also a CNA at Long View Nursing Home, Manchester for 7 years. She enjoyed flower gardening and animals, especially her cat "Princess" and her goldfish "Nemo". She loved to watch wrestling on television, attend oyster feeds, get her hair styled, and bird watching. Surviving are three daughters, Georgette Byrnes and husband, William of Edinsburg, PA; Karen Sue Hansbrough and fiancé, Kevin Briere and Peggy Sue Hansbrough and fiancé, Walter Blizzard, all of Littlestown, PA; two sons, Homer L. Hansbrough Jr. and wife, Shirlie of Keymar, Jeffrey A. Hansbrough and fiancée, Tammey Knight of Union Bridge; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Stouter of Emmitsburg and Mary Lou Minor; and one brother, Edward A. Lambert Jr. of Emmitsburg. She was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Louise Heffner. The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home, 6 E.Broadway, Union Bridge on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. Deacon Charles Barnhart, pastor of Keysville Lutheran Church, will officiate.
