ALEXANDER DAVID MOSS Alexander David Moss, 70, of Wilmington, passed away on October 16, 2016 at home. He was born on June 17, 1946 to Perley and Camilla Dickinson (Austin) Moss in Vineland, NJ. Alex retired from Atlantic Diving and Marine Contractors as a commercial diver and later as a shop foreman. He was also a talented blacksmith creating iron gates and decorative iron art. He was a member of the North Carolina Custom Knifemakers Guild making beautiful knives. He was also an avid reader of all genres of literature. Alexander is survived by his wife, Janis Flowers Moss; Two Sons, Erik Anthony Moss, Roy Lee Moss; Step Daughter, Jill Norris; Step Son, Brian Tucker; granddaughter, Katherine Norris; sister, Patricia Anne Smilie; his mother -in-law, Claire Flowers; sister-in-law, Eleanor Moss; and nephews, Kenneth Scott Moss and David Anthony Smilie He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Roy Lee Moss and sister, Camille Bruder. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016, from 4-6pm at Andrews Market Street, Wilmington.
