In memory of
Albin Kubala
Kubala, Albin Of Cedarburg passed away with great joy in his heart at 7:15 PM on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. He was 92 years young. Albin is survived by his sister Norene Arnold, daughter Kathy (Frank) Multerer, son Tom (Patty) Kubala, daughter Eileen (Gary) Johnson, grandchildren Boyd (Kari) Multerer, Rachel Derosa, Andrew (Jennifer) Multerer, Amelia (Josh) Spierer, Everett (Nadia) Ayoubzadeh, Alex Kubala, Elena (Evan) Bretzman, Max Kubala, Phyllip (Susan) Taylor-Alonso, and Alicia Johnson. All are welcome to join the family at the funeral home on Monday, October 17 from 10:00-11:30 AM with a Baha'i service at 11:30 AM followed by a light lunch. You are also welcome to join us for a Baha'i committal service that afternoon at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W Capitol Dr. in Brookfield at 2:30 pm (meet in the red parking area). Albin was born in Milwaukee on July 19, 1924 to Joseph and Violet Kubala where he enjoyed great adventures on his bike picnics with his family on the beach! He married his high school sweetheart Rose Re on September 2, 1944. They traveled to Hawaii with two children in order to assist with the consolidation of the Baha'i Faith. Their third child was born while in Hawaii. He and Rose moved back to Wisconsin in 1961 in order to be close to family members. He remained a very devoted and active teacher of the Baha'i Faith, especially helping people to understand the fundamental unity of all Faiths. He particularly enjoyed educating people about the history and sacred writings of Islam. His early architectural career began with Eschweiler and Sons. He contributed to designing many buildings such as the Board of Water Supply Public Service Building in Honolulu and while working for Plunkett Keymar Reginato Architects and the Kubala Washatko Architects he designed a number of churches and hospitals in the Milwaukee area. We will dearly miss this valiant teacher and gentle servant. He will be eagerly welcomed by the Concourse of Light!
