ADRIENNE ROSE RICCITELLI ARDITO
ARDITO, ADRIENNE ROSE RICCITELLI Adrienne Rose Riccitelli Ardito of Madison, CT, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2016. Adrienne was born in New Haven, CT, January 27, 1941, daughter of the late Pasquale and Christine (Criscuolo) Riccitelli. Adrienne is survived by her sister Rose Rita Riccitelli of Branford, CT, her four sons, Thomas (Kathy) Ardito of Naples, FL, Richard Ardito of Atlanta, GA, Laurence (Dawn) Ardito of Madison, CT and David (Patty) Ardito of Northford, CT, her cherished grandchildren, Sam Ardito, Joshua Ardito, Hannah Ardito, Katie (Anthony) LoRicco, Remi (Sean) Tremblay, Taylor Ardito, Nick Ardito and Lily Ardito, and her three great-grandchildren, Annabelle LoRicco, and Finn and Cole Tremblay. Adrienne attended St. Michael’s Grammar School in New Haven and Sacred Heart Academy in Hamden, CT. She spent many joyful years as Assistant Director of the Roger Sherman halfway house in New Haven before her retirement. She was a voracious reader, and loved playing the piano, listening to opera, loving her cat, Daisy, and especially loved joining in sing-alongs of old-time favorites from the 40s, 50s and 60s. She is fondly remembered by her family and friends for her quick wit, her knowledge on a wide-range of subjects, and her kindness towards others - especially the friends she made over the last two years while residing at Apple Rehabilitation in Old Saybrook and Chesterfield’s in Chester, CT. Her family extends a special thank-you to the caregivers at these two facilities and for the special care that she received at Middlesex Hospital’s Hospice Unit. Services are private.
