NEWARK - A. Donald Bramante, 86, died Thursday (October 6, 2016) at his home, in Washing-ton, D.C. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday (October 19) at the Paul L. Murphy & Sons Funeral Home, 127 East Miller Street, Newark, N.Y., where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery. Mr. Bramante was born in Newark, on March 31, 1930, the son of Joseph and Mary Amrose Bramante. He was a graduate of Newark High School and served in the US Army, during the Korean Conflict. Donald was a retired diplomat with the US State Department. He enjoyed singing and was a member of the Washington D.C. Capital Men's Chorus and Barber Shop Quartet. He is survived by his children Mary Cain, of Hagerstown, Md., Gina Corcione, of Alney, Md., Michael Bramante, of Austin, Texas and Niki Moyer, of San Diego, Calif.; two grandchildren Justin Watson and Jack Bramante. Donald was predeceased by his siblings Pat Bramante, Joseph Bramante, Eleanor Lapresi and Lorraine Austin. www.murphyandsons funeralhome.com.
