Mitchell J. Levy Devoted family man Mitchell J. Levy, 67, died on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, in Denver, Colo. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Melvin and Shirley Levy. Mitch grew up in the Midwood section of Flatbush and attended Midwood H.S. He was a proud graduate of Cooper Union and West Virginia University. He resided in Denver, and previously lived in Connecticut and New Jersey. He adored and was devoted to his family. He loved travel, music, sports, and crossword puzzles. Mitch is survived by his longtime partner, Sheri Kamin Lockhart; his children, William (Tina) and Elyse (Chris); his grandchildren, Zachary and Nora; Sheri's children, Jon (Jen), Irit (Jay), Steven (Andee), and their families; and his siblings, Toby (Rick), Fred (Jen), and Donald (Barbara). Services were held at Sherman's Funeral Home, and he is buried in New Montefiore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mitch's honor to Jewish Family Service of Colorado, jewishfamilyservice.org .
