In memory of
GROH, Misako (Age 82) Misako went home to Jesus, February 27, 2011. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Kusumoto on March 7, 1929 near Yokosuka, Japan. She met and married Ronald B. Groh in 1958 while he was stationed there in the Navy. She came to the United States and worked hard to learn English and quickly became an American citizen. Misako loved children, especially babies and wanted to work with them. She went to work at Shriners Hospital, where she was employed for the next nine years. After her retirement, she and Ron adopted two baby boys - Roger and Richard. Later Misako met Roger J. Wilbur and they married in 1995. They spent a couple of years in Prescott, Arizona and then returned to Spokane where she spent the rest of her life. Misako loved to play bingo and quite frequently won! She also loved cooking Japanese food for the Groh family. The last few years we all enjoyed going to the Suki Yaki restaurant at least once a month. Misako is survived by her loving husband Roger, sons Richard (Kelly) and Roger; grandchildren Hayden, Patrick and Courtney and in-laws Patricia, Mary, Julie, Tim, Jan, Cathy, Terry and Jim. Misako was the most loving and giving person - never a bad word about anyone. An exceptional person! She will be missed by all who knew her. Services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11:00 am at Salvation Army Church located at 222 East Indiana, Spokane, WA. Crematory services were provided by Neptune Society and Misako's urn will rest at North Pines Cemetery in Spokane Valley.
