Miriam Mesa Morales, a native of Camaguey, Cuba and long-time resident of Baton Rouge, Miriam passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019 in Miami, FL at the age of 69. Miriam graduated in Chemistry from Florida International University and worked as an Environmental Lab Manager during her career. She attended St. Kevin Roman Catholic Church in Miami, FL, and she loved beading jewelry, traveling, collectibles, animals, and talking with friends and family. She was a mother and friend to all and was always willing to help. She is greatly loved and will be dearly missed. Miriam is survived by her children, Cristina Victoria Windom of Dallas, TX and Adolfo Jose Morales of Atlanta, GA; and siblings, Joe Mesa of New Orleans, LA and Maria Contreras of Miami, FL. She is preceded in death by her husband Adolfo Jose Morales. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home (825 Government St., Baton Rouge, LA 70802) from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am officiated by Rev. Gilbert Enderle. Entombment will follow at St. George Catholic Church Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in Miriam's name may be made to Catholic Health Services ( www.catholichealthservices.org ) or St. Jude Children's Hospital ( stjude.org ).
