Mildred L. Hoffman
Mildred L. Hoffman, 90, formally of Camp Hill, PA, passed away on Saturday July 13, 2019 at Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg, PA. Born on April 8, 1929 in Trafford, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Williams) Briney, and she was the widow of Robert E. Hoffman who passed away in 2015. Mildred was a 1947 graduate of Aliquippa High School. She went on to graduate with her Registered Nursing degree from Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. Over the years she worked as an RN at several medical facilities and retired from Harrisburg State Hospital. She was a member of the West Shore Baptist Church. She was a strong independent woman. Mildred was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a frequent volunteer in her children's schools and attended many of their activities and sporting events. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters, Tammy Barrick and her husband Roger, of Camp Hill, and Beth Hoffman León and her husband Chip, of Dumfries, VA; a son, Rob Hoffman and his wife Lori, of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Christopher, Allie and Noah Hoffman, James León and two step grandchildren, Justin and Ryan Barrick ; and two step-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday July 19, 2019 in the chapel at Messiah Village, 100 Mt. Allen Dr., Mechanicsburg, PA, with Pastor Debby Bentch officiating. A visitation will be held in the chapel on Friday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be held immediately following the service in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, PA.
