Mary E. Morris
Mary Elizabeth Morris, 94, formerly of Rockland, was born on New Years Eve 1923 in Brockton. On July 31, 2018, she went to be with her husband, Conrad Connie Morris, who passed away in 1993, her son, Gary Alan Morris, who left this earth in 2010, and her daughter, Patricia Ann Morris, who went to be with the angels in 2017. Mary is survived by her brother, Lawrence Alan Whalen of Marshfield, her sister, Maureen Palmer of Hanson, her two oldest sons, Jeff Morris of Brentwood, Calif., and Robert Steven Morris of Mesa, Ariz., her grandson, Scott Morris, and grandchildren Amelia and Henry Morris of Phoenix. Mary Whalen, daughter of Lawrence and Jessie" Whalen (born Sargent, remarried Sabin) of Rockland, worked at the Naval Air Station South Weymouth before she married Connie Morris on June 17, 1945, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Rockland. She devoted the next 73 years of her life to loving, raising, and caring for her family. In August 1961, the six-member Morris family piled into their 1958 Chevrolet station wagon and moved from Rockland to Phoenix, Ariz., for health reasons. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Gilbert, Ariz.
