Mark Francis Shippie
Mark Francis Shippie, 57, a resident of Salem, NH, died Friday, March 6, 2015, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH, following a courageous battle with ALS. He was the beloved fiance of Darlene (Thibeault) AuCoin, with whom he resided. Born in Boston on May 9, 1957, he was the son of the late John W. and Mary A. (Ryan) Shippie. Mark was a graduate of Brighton High School, and was employed as a mortgage loan officer for Guaranteed Rate of Chicago, IL to the end of his illness. His hobbies included his Koi Pond, aquarium fish, driving his 67 SS Camaro, cooking, cruising, and hanging out with family and many friends. He especially enjoyed his time spent with his sweetness Darlene. In addition to Darlene he leaves a daughter, Paige Shippie, a student at Endicott College in Beverly, MA; a son, Mark W. Shippie of Lynn, MA; three brothers, Stephen Shippie and his wife Carol of Charlotte, NC, John Jay Shippie of W. Roxbury, MA and Thomas Shippie of Watertown, MA; Darlenes children, Marc and Shane AuCoin. He also leaves his dog, Hunter. He was a brother of the late James Shippie. Relatives and friends are invited to Marks Life Celebration on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the McKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth St., Lowell, MA. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning at 11:30 AM in St. Michael Church in Lowell, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Marks name to The ALS Association, Northern New England Chapter, The Concord Center,10 Ferry St., Suite 309, Concord, NH 03301.
