Marjorie Fern Beaman
Marjorie Fern Beaman, 84, of Columbia, Missouri passed away July 7, 2018 at her home. Marjorie was born in Boone County on March 18, 1934 a daughter of Ezra Price Nichols Sr. and Katy Alice Caruthers Nichols. She married Sam Beaman on May 19, 1954. He preceded her in death August 9, 1997. Marjorie was a graduate of Hickman High School and was a homemaker most of her married life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and knitting. Survivors include a son, James Edward Beaman of Columbia; a daughter, Donna Washington and husband, Henry Sr. of Centralia; three grandchildren, Hamilton Washington, Harrison Washington and Henry Washington, Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Caydence Washington, Jensen Washington and Brighton Gatts and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Beaman and four brothers, Ezra Nichols, Jr., Kenneth Nichols, Jefferson Nichols and Eugene Nichols. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, July 11 at Markland-Yager Funeral Home in New Franklin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in rural Howard County. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) or the Wounded Warriors Project. Condolences may be shared at www.marklandyager.com.
