Marilyn Louise (Baker) Vanderzee
Marilyn Louise (Baker) Vanderzee, 85, formerly of New Cumberland, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 7, 2019. She was born on May 13, 1933, the daughter of the late Clark S. Baker and Martha (Baker) Hickenbottom. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Nancy (Baker) Kutz and Marcia (Hickenbottom) Chaussee. Marilyn is survived by 4 children: Vicki Kunkel, Jeffrey Vanderzee, Leigh Goas (Ben), and Lisa Starsinic (Ken); 4 grandchildren: Kate Jordan, Lindsey and Laura Goas, and Mary Starsinic; and a great-granddaughter, Amelia. Marilyn was a graduate of New Cumberland High School, Class of 1951. She was retired from the FAA at the Capital City Airport. She enjoyed vacations at Pine Grove Furnace. She also enjoyed reading and solving crossword puzzles. She was affectionately known as Grammy. A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Christ Presbyterian Church, 421 Deerfield Road, Camp Hill, PA. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association Greater PA Chapter, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
