Marilyn Darlene (Robertson) Bartalini
Marilyn Darlene Robertson Bartalini, age 80, passed away surrounded by her family on July 30, 2019, following a short illness. She was born on Sept. 1, 1938, to Lyle and Hilda Robertson in Fort Bragg, California, and graduated from Fort Bragg High School with the class of 1957. Her high school senior year book read the following- an indication of the life that would be led with accomplishments made and lives touched along her journey before the Lord called her home. Her name led all the rest. …fine organizer…frantic follower of sports… yell leader in Junior and Senior years… very popular…works at the bank… plans to work in San Francisco upon graduating She married Robert Bartalini on Aug. 16, 1958, in Fort Bragg and worked at the Coast National Bank in Fort Bragg from 1955 to 1960 as a bookkeeper, teller and bank secretary. From 1966 to 1970, she worked at the Savings Bank as supervisor of the teller line and bookkeeping department; real estate sales agent from 1970 to 1974; real estate broker and owner Blue Pacific Realty 1974 to 1977; and then as a broker from 1977 until her retirement. She was the recipient of the million-dollar producer (1986 and 1987); and two-million-dollar producer (1988), Century 21 Winners' Circle; highest units sales and listings Mendocino and Lake counties and portions of Sonoma county. She loved both real estate and banking. She studied at the College of the Redwoods, Humboldt State University and Cal State University, East Bay. In her retirement years, she focused on helping others as well as writing a book and enjoying going to Disneyland with her daughters and grandson. One of her key missions was The Mary Mission which was to introduce people to Manna Relief so they could help the orphans and fatherless children in the world as well as spreading the message of the Blessed Mother, in Medjugorje, having traveled there a number of times, which included visiting orphanages in Romania. She also supported a number of organizations through donations. She was passionately working on a book of her life attending university writing classes to help in the writing. Although not completed, her daughters will continue the task. She was active in senior clubs and swimming at the local gym and spending a lot of time spoiling her grandson. She was a great pet lover, having many kitties and doggies. The last was her cat, Domino, who will have a home with her daughter, Debbie. Family and friends will remember her as a kind, generous and loving person with a great love of the Lord and the Blessed Mother. She is survived by her daughters, Debora Bartalini of Antioch, California, Cynthia (Craig) Humphrey of Windsor, California; grandson, Robert William Bartalini of Antioch, California; brothers, Bill Robertson of Fort Bragg and Barry Robertson of Apple Valley, California; plus cousins and numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Domino. A vigil with Rosary will be Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Fort Bragg with Memorial Mass on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, at 12 p.m. at the church. A gathering will take place right after the Mass at the Fort Bragg Senior Center, 490 N. Harold St., activity room with a light lunch and desserts in celebration of a life well-lived. Please feel free to not wear black as Mom considered this her last celebration. Inurnment will be at Rose Memorial Park Monday, Sept. 16, 2019, at 11 a.m. All are welcome. Father Mark will be performing a blessing. Donations can be made in Mari-lyn's name to organizations that help the homeless and any who are in need.
