LUELLA J. SCHOLL
88, a longtime Mentor resident, passed away April 9, 2019 at Brookdale of Mentor. She was born May 7, 1930 in Luzerne Twp., PA. Luella enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, she was a wonderful listener and always had kind words for everyone, She enjoyed over 30 years as head secretary for the Engineering Department at TRW prior to her retirement in 1986. She often traveled to spend time with family in Pennsylvania and Elyria, Ohio, and she was thrilled to take a dream trip to Hawaii after retirement with her beloved husband, Joe. She was an avid quilter, and also loved the companionship of her beloved dogs. Luella is survived by her siblings, Dorothy Hart, Virginia Cummings, Monroe (Vernie) Keplar Jr., and Louis (Karen) Keplar; many loving nieces and nephews; her step-grandchildren, Stephen (Kathy) Chase, Lynn (Mike) Kicinski, and David (Anna) Chase; her step-great grandchildren, Mathew (Julie) Chase, Nicholas Chase, and Christopher Chase. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 17 years, Arlee "Joe"; parents, Monroe Sr., and Mary; brother, Robert; and her step-daughter, Mary Lou Chase and her husband, Eugene. The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. A funeral in memory of Luella will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Whitehaven Memorial Park, Mayfield Village.
