Lucy Vitulli Palatiere
Lucy Vitulli Palatiere, born in Batavia, NY, March 13, 1927, oldest daughter of Sylvio and Virginia Pillo Vitulli and beloved wife of Harry Palatiere (deceased) passed on to be with him and to meet our Lord on December 28, 2018 in Ft. Pierce, FL with her family by her side. Lucy and Harry owned and operated Genesee Building, Inc. in Batavia for many years before retiring to N. Ft. Myers, FL in 1988. Lucy was an active member in the Ft. Myers Senior Center Bridge and Art Club enjoying weekly painting classes while making many life-long friends. Lucy was a long-time member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Batavia before moving to N. Ft. Myers and becoming a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Ft. Myers, making many friends in the process. Beyond being the most supportive, caring and loving wife to Harry, she was also the most perfect mother to daughter Sylvia Jo (Cliff) Miller of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and triplet sons Harry (Sue) Palatiere of Colonial Heights, VA, David (Ruth) Palatiere of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Sal (Maureen) Palatiere of Richardson, TX. Lucy also leaves behind her sisters and best friends Dorothy Vitulli of Batavia, NY, Millie DiFilippo of Batavia, NY, and Joanne Sheelar of Ft. Pierce, FL, as well as numerous loving and supportive nieces and nephews. Lucy always cherished time with family, particularly with grandchildren Benjamin Palatiere of Dallas, TX, Russell Palatiere of Glen Allen, VA, Allison (Daniel) Herrin of Dallas, TX, and Reid Palatiere of Austin, TX, and with great-grandchildren Parker, Kate and Abigail Herrin. The family wishes to thank Michael and Cindy Sheelar and Family for their care and support of Mom since her move to Florida and especially during her last days. The Family is deeply grateful to Lucy's neighbors and friends in her N. Ft. Myers community for years of friendship. Marvin Darby, Bob and Donna O'Neil, Bonnie Carr, Ed and Missy Malinowski, David Bohager and Family and Vicki Merkel-- thank you for your loving companionship and support towards Lucy all these years.
