Lowell Thomas "Tom" Litton Dickson, TN A funeral service for Lowell Thomas "Tom" Litton, age 82 of Dickson will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Mitchell Stevens and Boyd Nash officiating. Interment will follow in Bon Aqua Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Taylor Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 1 p.m. until service time. Mr. Litton died Monday, October 9, 2017 at his home. For those desiring, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Born in Lyles, Tennessee, Tom was the son of the late Hubert Lawrence and Rosa Mai Cooper Litton. He received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and had been employed by several corporations dealing with air travel, aerospace, and space flight. Some of his more memorable work projects included the McDonnell-Douglas F-15 Fighter Jet and engineering on the International Space Station. He was married to Linda Welderman Litton and was a member and deacon of Oak Avenue Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Cooper Litton. Survivors include his wife, Linda Litton, Dickson; his two daughters and their husbands Lisa Ann Forbush (Brian), Imperial, MO and Rachel Melinda Heineman (Brian), Lee's Summit, MO; his sister, Rosa Avalee Ligon, Bon Aqua, TN; and three grandchildren, Autumn Carpenter, Steven Heineman, and Elijah Thomas Heineman; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
