Louis A. Kirby
Louis Albert Kirby had a joyous reunion with his parents, Cecil Robert and Helen Peterson Kirby, on Feb.15, 2010, after courageously battling Parkinson's over 13 years. He was born June 9, 1940, in Logan, Utah. He grew up in Hyde Park, where he loved working with his dad, milking and working with mink. He loved his Danish mission. He served six years in the Army National Guard. At the SLC LDS Temple he married Linda Colleen Galloway on March 14, 1972. He was a lifelong, stalwart LDS Church member. He ran a piano bridge drill at Wurlitzer pianos and later worked as an inventory controller at WeatherShield MFG. He is survived by his wife of almost 38 years and his six children: Trina (Jay) Thomson of Brigham City, Utah; Raymond (Heather) Kirby of Tooele, Utah; Starla (Raymond) Winward of Phoenix, Ariz.; Brett Kirby of Logan, Utah; LuJean Kirby of Logan, Utah; Emily (Jared) Baker of Hyde Park, Utah; as well as 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at noon Fri. Feb. 19, 2010, at the Richmond Stake Center, 135 W. Main. Viewing is from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Life Celebration is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, at the same location. Burial is at the Logan, Utah Cemetery.
