LEONORA I. CHABOTTE 1923 - 2018 TAFTVILLE - Leonora I. Chabbotte 94, of Taftville and formerly of Occum died Sunday September 9, 2018 at the Backus Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Norwich on September 22, 1923 the daughter of the late Theodore and Rosanna (Lemoine) Caisse. Leonora was last employed as a weaver at the former Ponemah Mills in Taftville before retiring. On September 22, 1945 she married Leo R. Chabotte at St. Joseph Church in Occum who died on April 27, 2001. She is survived by one son, Raymond (Jeanne) Chabotte of Griswold. Two daughters, Theresa (David) Colby of Norwich and Carol (Michael) Sabolesky of Salem. 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Theodore, and Louis Caisse and one sister Mary Rose Riley. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph church in Occum meeting directly at church. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Baltic. Calling hours at the Guillot Funeral Home 75 South B. St. Taftville will be Wednesday from 5-7 P.M.
