Leo P. Bracciano, 88, Lawrence, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2019 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence. Private inurnment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lawrence. Leo was born on April 11, 1930 in Detroit, MI, the son of Leo J. and Lucy (Parrochetti) Bracciano. He was a faithful member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked in Human Resources Management for DuPont for 32 years before retiring in February 1995. After that, he continued working at Flexel for 10 years. Leo married Nancy Baumbach on March 1, 1952 in Detroit, MI. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his five sons, Joseph (Lisa) Bracciano, Thomas Bracciano, Andrew (Cindy) Bracciano, all of Lawrence, James (Kristi) Bracciano, Leawood, KS, Michael (Susan) Bracciano, St. Joseph, MO; three daughters, Carol Bracciano, Hereford, AZ, Cynthia (Mike) Savage, Corpus Christi, TX, Jeanne (Marc) Berghaus, Meade, KS; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and brother, Alfred F. Bracciano, Lakewood Ranch, FL. A visitation will be held from 6:00–8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Memorial contributions may be made in Leo's name to Corpus Christi Catholic Church and sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
