Waid, Ruth 7/3/1923 - 6/21/2020 Rockford MI Waid, Ruth of Rockford MI, age 96, passed away June 21, 2020. She was born to Paul & Carrie Jackson on July 3, 1923 in Cedar Springs MI. Ruth graduated from Rockford High school class of 1941. In 1942 Ruth married the love of her life Russell C. Waid and together they had 4 children. Ruth retired from Sackner Products in 1985. She was a past President of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3946.She enjoyed being with her family and friends, always making everyone feel welcome and was famous for her "Baked Beans". She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Russell, her sons Larry and Darrel, sister Judith VandeBrand, and brothers Bernard and Donald Jackson. She is survived by her daughter Pat Krucek, son Raymond (Michelle) Waid, daughters-in-law Sandy (Larry) Waid, Debroah (Darrel) Waid, 9 grandchildren (and their significant others), 22 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, and many nieces and nephews. At Ruth's request there will be no Funeral services, cremation has taken place. The family will have a private burial at Elmwood Cemeatary in Cedar Springs MI. Due to Covid19 the family will hold a memorial Celebration of Life to honor Ruth in June of 2021. Arrangements for this will be posted prior to the date on Facebook. The family would like to thank Bishop Hills of Rockford for the care, respect, and compassion they showed Ruth. Special thank you to Grace Hospice for all the help and care they gave to us.
