In memory of
Ronald Paoli passed away suddenly on July 27, 2019, in Fort Bragg, California. He was second generation, born in Fort Bragg. His grandparents came to Mendocino from Italy. Ron started working at the lumber mill when he was 17 and worked there for 46 years. He married his childhood sweetheart, Diane Boyett, in 1955. Ron loved history and stories of the olden times and enjoyed collecting items from the past. He was very witty and would say things that would make you laugh. When he was young, he loved hunting, fishing and camping on the river. After retirement, he enjoyed his family, his Koi fish and the wildlife that visited his home. He also enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. His focus in life was to be a provider for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Thelma Paoli; his sister, Betty Moretti; and three great-grandsons. He leaves his wife of 64 years, Diane Paoli; his three daughters, Teri Jamison, Linda and Dale Simpson, Karan and Ray Perkins; his brother, Darrel Paoli; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, Pupper. A potluck celebration of life will be held on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, at 4 p.m. at 19278 Noyo Acres Drive.
