Gail E. Trowbridge, 83, of Hummelstown passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020. Born October 18, 1936 in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Elvin S. and Verna M. (Wilhelm) Smith and also preceded in death by sisters Fern Wagner and Doris Patrick. Retired from the Hershey Medical Center, she was a lifelong member of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, where she was involved with the Women's Sewing and formerly a Sunday School teacher. She was an avid reader, loved flamingos, visiting the cabin, and baking. She was known for her sand tarts and raisin cookies. Gail loved spending time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter. Surviving are her husband of 60 years Gary E. Trowbridge; daughter Beth A., wife of Ricky Hoffman of Hummelstown; son Kevin S. Trowbridge of Hummelstown; grandchildren Rebecca, wife of Ki-Jana Williams, Rachel Hoffman, Hadley Trowbridge, and Hunter Trowbridge; and great granddaughter Kayden Williams. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 22, 2020 at her church, 131 Gravel Hill Road, Palmyra preceded by a viewing from 10:00 AM. Interment will be in the adjoining Gravel Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, 131 Gravel Hill Road, Palmyra, PA 17078.
