Donald J. Shaben June 15, 2020 Donald J. Shaben, 84, passed away June 15, 2020 at Mease Dunedin Hospital in Dunedin, FL. Don was born in Phoenix, NY to the late Walter and Gladys (Simmons) Shaben. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Patricia (DiMiero) and his son Mark of Kingsport, TN, two grandchildren Cody (Andrea) Shaben and Erin Shaben both of Colorado. Don was predeceased by his beloved son Michael, brothers Robert (Lillian), Gordon (Cleo), Gerald (Agnes), Joseph (Mary), and sister Luella Pollock. He was a 1954 graduate of Cato-Meridian High School where he played all sports and especially loved basketball. In 1955 he joined the U.S. Marine Corps for 3 years and was stationed in Hawaii for most of that time. Don retired from a long career in commercial printing in 1994. He and Patricia have enjoyed living in Florida for the past 27 years. Interment will be at White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford, NY later this year. In lieu of flowers donations in Don's name may be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Please sign the guestbook at syracuse.com/obits
