Chipman, Joyce Lynn of Comstock Park, Michigan, (formerly of Rockford, MI), age 85, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019. She was born to Arthur and Agnes (Bradford) Johnson on January 23, 1934, in Manistee, MI. Joyce enjoyed cooking, gardening, listening to music and spending time with family. She is survived by her loving children, Gary (Cindy) Jablonski, Michelle (Steve) Kole and Linda (Alan) Cole; adored grandchildren, Jenny (Andrew) De Jonge, John Jablonski, Ashley (Tim) Verburg, Casey Kole, Travis (Jenny) Cole, Alan Cole, Shane Cole, and Shawn Cole; three great grandchildren, Haleigh, Emma, and Timmy; and siblings, Larry, Marian, Judy, Janice, Noreen, and Mike. Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, Lewis Leonard Chipman; children, John Jablonski, Robert Jablonski, and Luann Chipman; and siblings, Shirley, Bill, and Linda. The family would like to thank Faith Hospice for their care and compassion towards Joyce and family. There will be a time of visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Pederson Funeral Home, 127 N. Monroe Street NE, Rockford, MI 49341. The funeral service for Joyce will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2019, at Pederson Funeral Home. Pastor Bruce Wilson will be officiating. There will also be a one-hour visitation prior to the service. Those wishing to offer expressions of sympathy may make a memorial contribution to the American Cancer Society, 129 Jefferson Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
