Joseph E. Saar
SAAR, Joseph E. Joseph E. Saar passed away on January 31, 2019. He is survived by his wife Grace, who he married in 1953. He was preceded in death by four brother and four sisters. Mr. Saar was a retired Certified Public Accountant, Real Estate Broker, and Certified Personnel Consultant. He served in the U.S Air Force during the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Texas with degrees in Accounting, receiving the T.W Mohrle Award as the outstanding accounting graduate student in 1956. He also was employed by Arthur Andersen & Co. for 12 years and was the President of Saar Personnel Service Inc. for 15 years. He also served as an officer/director in several local, state, and international Fraternal orders, trade and professional associations receiving many awards for his service. He was appointed by Gov. Dolph Briscoe to a Texas Regulatory Board having served as Chairman. He was a member of the 3rd and 4th Degrees of the Knights of Columbus and the International Order of Alhambra. Rosary will be recited by Rev. Josef Vollmer-Konig at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m on Friday, February 8, 2019 in St. Patrick Catholic Church 9643 Ferndale Rd. Dallas, TX. 75238. A reception will follow the Mass in the Parish Center. Entombment will be at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. Honorary Pallbearers will be the 4th Degree Color Corp.
