Joseph A. Lecours
Joseph A. Lecours, 86, passed away February 4, 2019. Born January 5, 1933 in Hardwick, VT, he was the son of Eloi LeCours and Rosalie (Castonguay) Lecours, Joseph retired from Springfield Cast Products, where he worked as a machinist for many years. He has lived in Belchertown since 1959, previously of Springfield and Monson. Joseph enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be deeply missed by wife, Helen (Thorin) R. Lecours along with their children, David LeCours and his wife Connie of Westbrook, CT, Michael LeCours of Albany, NY, and Allen LeCours of Belchertown and his fiancée Sue Munsell of Ware. He also leaves 2 sisters, Cecile Watson and Marie Anderson, a brother, Gabriel Lecours, along with 2 grandchildren, Sarah and Robert and 4 great grandchildren, Kevin, Alyssa, Isabel and Gregory. Joseph was preceded in death by his siblings, Gerald, Jean-Marie, and Eugene. He was a kind and gentle man and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Sunday, February 10th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. with a service to begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story PALMER Funeral Home. Burial will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at South Cemetery in Belchertown.
