John Marion Hooper, II Nashville - John Marion Hooper, II, "Jack" died on September 10, 2019 with his family by his side. He was 78 years old, born in Nashville, Tennessee on April 26, 1941. He was the son of Russell Warren Hooper and Sarah Stewart Hooper, both of Nashville. The family would like to thank the wonderful PALs, techs and nurses at Belmont Village Senior Living, Caris Hospice and the geri floor at Parthenon Pavilion. Thank you for taking care of Dad, and us through these last few months. And finally, a special thank you to Linda Cloyd who with grace, patience and devotion cared for Dad, and our family. He is survived by his very devoted wife of 58 years, Lisle Castleman Hooper; daughter Melissa Hooper Scarbro (Jeff); son, John Marion Hooper III (Leslie); grandchildren, David Castleman Mills, Katherine Lisle Hooper, John Marion Hooper IV, William Trexler Hooper, Luca Grace Hooper, Stephanie Lynne Scarbro; brother, Russell Warren Hooper, Jr. (Betty) and sister, Claire Hooper Drowota. A celebration of Jack's life for family and friends will be held at Belle Meade Country Club on Wednesday, September 18 from 4-7pm. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made in his memory to Men of Valor, The Cumberland River Compact and the Alzheimer's Association. Full obit at harpethhills.com
