John "Jack" J. Kaiser February 3, 2019 John J. "Jack" Kaiser, 87 of Kenwood Avenue, Syracuse passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at home. Native and life resident of the Syracuse area, Jack was born in 1931 to the late Fred and Helen (Klein) Kaiser. Communicant of Assumption Church and lifetime member of the Pastime Athletic Club. Employed with the former General Electric for 42 years as a Supervisor retiring in 1992. An avid car enthusiast, Jack was the proud owner of a 1929 Model A pickup truck and a member of the CNY Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society. He enjoyed spending time with his family at the camp on Sandy Pond and growing tomatoes in his garden on Kenwood Avenue. Predeceased by his parents, his brother, Fred Kaiser; his sister, Elaine Mertzlufft and his son, John "JAE" Kaiser on October 12, 2013. Survived by one son, Dana Michael Kaiser; one beloved grandson, Joshua Michael John Kaiser and his mother, Michelle LaFountain; his former wife, Donna (Gerry) Foster; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be on SATURDAY, February 9, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at Assumption Church, 812 N. Salina Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on SATURDAY at 10:30 AM at Assumption Church. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be immediately following the Mass in Assumption Cemetery. Keegan-Osbelt-Knight Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Avenue, Syracuse, New York 13208.
