Joanne M. Gratzer
Joanne Marie Gratzer, 51, died peacefully August 8, 2018, after a hard fought battle with lung cancer. Born in Boston, November 14, 1966, she was the daughter of Theresa (Gagne) Gratzer. Raised in Rockland, she graduated from Rockland High School in 1984. She worked in the accounting department at Hub Pen Company in Braintree. Most of all Joanne love traveling with her son as his biggest supporter. A lifelong animal lover, Joanne loved her pets who she rescued over the years. She is survived by her loving mother, Theresa Gratzer of Hanover. She was the devoted mother of her son, Daniel Gratzer of Norwell. She was the loving sister of Terry (Gratzer) Hutchings and her husband Mark of Hanson and Robert Gratzer and his wife Cheryl of Pembroke. Also leaves her loving dog Brody. Visiting hours will be held at Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte. 53, Hanover, on Monday, August 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Marys of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte. 139, Hanover, on Tuesday, August 14, at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please place donations in Joannes memory to the Scituate Animal Shelter, 780 Chief Justice Cushing Hwy., Scituate, MA, or the MSPCA, www.mspca.org .
