In memory of
JIM WILLIAMS Jim M. Williams, of Henderson, passed away December 31, 2018, at home surrounded by family and friends. Jim was 73 year's old, born to loving parents, Frank and Gertrude Williams of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. He was the youngest of three children. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Williams, of Nevada; brother, Richard Williams, of Nevada; daughter, Mary Love, of Alaska; and daughter, Julie Poirier, of California. Jim attended Morningside High School in Inglewood, CA, graduating in 1962. It was there where Jim started his lifelong love affair with the theater. Jim moved to the Las Vegas Valley in 1972, and worked in the gaming industry his entire career. Jim joined The Las Vegas Little Theater in 1978 where he starred in and directed many productions over his 20+ year association with the group. Later, Jim associated with Theater in the Valley in Henderson and performed his final role September 11, 2018, in "So The Boy's Can Cry." He was also a member of The Variety Club at Sun City MacDonald Ranch. Jim was very active in his spare time golfing, playing ping pong and tennis at Desert Willow Golf Course, and volunteering in local neighborhood activities. In 2015, Jim met and married his wife, Joan, whom he often referred to as his angel sent from above, and having finally met his soul mate. Jim was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many and was loved by all. He was a blessing and an asset to his community and will be terribly missed. There will be a Celebration of Jim's Life Fri., Jan. 11, from 6-8:30 p.m. at Sun City MacDonald Ranch, 2020 W. Horizon Ridge Pkwy., Henderson, NV 89012.
