Jeremy Matthew Dysart, 38, of Edinburg, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in Edinburg. The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 8 at 11 a.m. at Valley Funeral Service in Edinburg. The Reverend Freddie Helsley will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock. Jeremy was born September 18, 1979 in Shenandoah County, son of Wilson Lee Dysart and his companion Tammy Ayr of Edinburg and the late Diana Sue Cain Dysart. He is also survived by a son, Damian Wood of Berryville; daughter, Alexis Dysart of Edinburg; sister, Mandy Dysart and her companion Ricky Wallace of Edinburg; brother, Lee Dysart of Woodstock; niece and nephew, Leah and Jace; great nieces and nephew, Lilly, Claire and Buddy; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jeremy touched so many lives in so many ways. How he did this was because his heart was so giving, warm, and kind. His smile was infectious. His spirit was alive and wild. Let us remember this man of generosity for all the good and kindness he showed us all. Pallbearers will be Damian Wood, Tommy Bowers, Robert Smith, Bubby Dysart, Ricky Haun, and Jay Divers. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 420 Neff Avenue, Suite 210, Harrisonburg, VA 22801 in memory of his mother.
