James Walter Kimble
James Walter Kimble, 71, of Townsend received his heavenly wings and went home to be with the Lord and his wife Joyce Louise Kimble on January 20, 2018. Born on June 2, 1946 in Ingleside, MD, he was the son of the late Medford Lee and Lillian Louise (Cole) Kimble. Jim retired from Del Star Technology, Middletown, DE in 2014. He was a member of Glasgow Baptist Church. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Amy Tucker and Anna Marie Bartz; and five brothers, Medford Lee Kimble, Earl Bradford Kimble, Norman Donald Kimble, William Raymond Kimble, and Franklin Eugene Kimble. He is survived by his daughter, Denise Best and her husband Walter of Smyrna; son, Daniel Kimble and his wife Kristin of Townsend; grandchildren, Dale Ray Estepp Jr. of Smyrna, Drake T. Kimble and Hope P. Kimble of Townsend; a sister, Joyce Palmatary of Church Hill, MD; a siste- in-law, Grace Louise Kimble and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the American Legion Post 14, 107 W. Glenwood Ave., Smyrna, DE 19977. In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made in Jim's memory to Glasgow Baptist Church, 3021 Old County Rd., Newark, DE 19702.
