James Lee Blow
James Lee Blow, 85 of Venice, Florida, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 in his home. Jim was born in Jacksonville, Florida and attended Landon High School and the University of Florida. He married Patricia Anne Walsh on June 23, 1956. After serving in the Army and Army Reserves, Jim began his career in the Foreign Commercial Service. Jim was instrumental in the development of US Trade Promotion in Moscow, Mexico, Canada, London and Brussels. Jim is survived by Patricia A. Blow, Mary (nee Blow) Masi, Kathryn (nee Blow) LaBrode, Madonna (nee Blow) Villarreal, James L. Blow, and Kelly (nee Blow) Braun; 13 grandchildren; Roy McCance; and his adorable Ms. Grits. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Una Mae Blow. Funeral services will be held on Aug. 6, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with Father J.J. McCarthy, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Mark's Youth Ministry, 513 Nassau Street South, Venice, FL 34285. Attn: James L. Blow Memorial Fund. The family would also like to thank the dedicated staff of Tidewell Hospice: Susan, Linda, Jennifer, Sandra, Rosa, Katie and Chaplain Joe for their professional and loving care.
