James F. Caron Marine Corps veteran had a career in healthcare administration James Francis Caron, 81, of Neshanic Station, N.J., entered into eternal life on Friday, July 19, 2019, at Morristown Medical center, with his loving family by his side. Born in Oak Park, Ill., son of the late Raymond J. and Claire (nee Collopy) Caron, Jim moved from Oak Park to New Jersey, where he lived in Upper Montclair and subsequently settled in Neshanic Station. Jim faithfully served his country with the United States Marine Corps from 1960 to 1966. After his honorable service time, he became a career hospital and healthcare administrator in New Jersey. He was named the executive vice president at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, N.J., in 1969. He subsequently became the administrator of the Margaret McLaughlin McCarrick Care Center at St. Peter's Medical Center in 1989 and in 2014 administrator and compliance official at Arbor Glen in Bridgewater, N.J. Jim previously served as the president of the New Jersey chapter of the American College of Healthcare Administrators. Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by his brother, Raymond, and his sister, Marylou. Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Maureen (nee Keeney) Caron; loving sons, Kevin Caron and his family of Chatham, N.J., and Dennis Caron and his family of Portland, Ore. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing at Countryside Funeral Home, 724 Route 202 North, Three Bridges, N.J. 08887 on Tuesday, July 23, from 4 to 8 p.m., and on Wednesday, July 24, from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 24, beginning at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Three Bridges, N.J., with Fr. Thomas J. Serafin officiating. Committal words and entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum in Piscataway, N.J. At the families' request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's name to a charity of your choice.
